The Museum is free for charge from June 29th, 2011.
Tuesday–Sunday: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Monday: Closed (except statutory holidays and special circumstances)
Guidelines
1. Free admission tickets can be gotten at the Ticket Office. Tickets include admission to all available exhibition halls (except special exhibitions).
2. A Valid ID (ID card, student ID card, military ID card, Guangzhou Elder Preferential Certificate, driving license or passport) is required for one person to get one ticket. Children under 1.4m accompanied by adult can be admitted without tickets.
3. Free admission tickets can be gotten from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on opening days. Tickets are valid on the day of issue only and the maximum issuing amount of tickets is 3000 on a first-come, first-reserved basis.
4. There is an extra charge for entrance to any special exhibition.
5. For group tours (guided tours excluded), advance registration is required.
5-1. The minimum group size is 20 people.
5-2. Tours must be scheduled a minimum of three days in advance, based on availability. The group leader shall get the admission tickets at the appointed time or it will be regarded as a cancellation. 5-3. Phone: 020-87351468.
6. A responsible adult shall accompany preschoolers, elders, visitors with mobile disabilities and mental disorders. Visitors with improper attire and disruptive behavior are not allowed entrance.
7. Elders above 65 and visitors with mobile disabilities may apply for admission tickets to enter first.
8. Friends of the Guangdong Museum of Art with valid membership cards may enter first.
9. Any form of sales promotion and merchandising is prohibited in the Museum.
10. Pets are prohibited in the museum.
11. Visitors are required to pass through a security screen before entering the museum. Explosives, inflammable substances, corrosive materials, contaminating items, knives and any other sharp/bladed objects considered illegal by local law are prohibited.
