China-Japan Friendship Hospital (CJFH) conferred on September 13, 2012 an honorary professorship title to Dr. Sean X. Leng, professor of Geriatric Department, Johns Hopkins Hospital (JHH), the USA. More than 70 people were present at the ceremony, including Mr. Xu Shuqiang, president of CJFH, Mr. Wang Yunting, Vice President, Dr. Li Haicong, Director of the Geriatric Department, Dr. Xie Yuxiao, Director of Rehabilitation Medicine, and Mr. Yin Yongtie, chief of the International Medical Exchange and Cooperation.As a world-renowned expert on geriatrics, Dr. Sean X. Leng is now a professor at the Geriatric Medical Center, and experienced in clinical diagnosis and treatment of senior diseases. In terms of research, he is undertaking several projects funded by the Ministry of Health, Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Johns Hopkins Hospital, making great achievements that have earned him high academic esteem both in China and abroad. He has also long been engaged in promoting academic exchange and staff training between China and the US. Dr. Li Haicong, CJFH geriatrics director, studied in Johns Hopkins Hospital thanks to the assistance of Dr. Sean X. Leng. After the ceremony, Dr. Sean X. Leng gave a lecture on "Comparison of the Developments of Geriatric Medicine between China and the US."
