Mr. Christopher Sean Hall
received his degree in English Literature and Theory. His specialties are Critical Theory and Cultural Studies, especially Marx, Freud, Feminist theory, Structuralism, Post-structuralism, and Post-modernism. Regarding literature, He focused on 19th century and 20th century, and for his final project studied forms of identity-production. He teaches British and American Literature and Culture, as well as Tourism English.
Dr. Charles Kieffer
American, received his B.A. and M.S. from the University of Wisconsin and his Ed.D. from Alliant International University in San Diego, California. His Ed.D. and work history has focused on university management and leadership. As a professor at Shenda, Dr. Kieffer teaches a wide-range of English topics including reading and writing, verbal communication, and English for such subjects as leadership development, psychology, and science.
Mr. Bradley Curtis Philips
earned a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature from Central Michigan University, which was originally a teacher's college. It's the same university where his great-grandmother earned her degree from. This course specialized in Literature, Linguistics and also contained a teaching component. Bradley specialized in teaching Composition and also specialized in the works of Nathaniel Hawthorne. Now Bradley is teaching various English courses for the Foreign Language Department, including American Popular Culture.
James Roth
has a master’s degree in English from Western State College, in Gunnison Colorado, and over fifteen years teaching experience. His area of interest is natural language acquisition, relying on the principles of the lexical approach. Before coming to China he taught in Japan. During his vacations he returns to the United States to visit his family in south Alabama.
Mr. George Costas
is from New York and Michigan, in the USA. George has been living in China for 7 years and this is his third year here at SZU. George has an MBA from Long Island University and a TESOL certificate from TEFL International in Zhuhai. He is a Professor of English and teaches oral presentation and writing.
Dr Mark Williams
Professor at Shenzhen University since 2008 coordinating, researching, and lecturing in Positive Psychology and Positive Organizational Behaviour, Management, Leadership and Communication. With extensive qualifications and experience in interdisciplinary university education on many levels in Australia and internationally (China, Malaysia, Kiribati, Germany, USA and UK), including MBA and DBA courses, he has published over 60 scholarly publications, 4 books, and been awarded 4 research grants, 4 teaching excellence awards, and served as principal supervisor for 9 successful management doctorates.
