Ixia’s painting leads us to the border of dreams. By looking at her paintings, we are seized by the gaze of these ideal beauties, a bit arrogant for Shanghai women being completely sure of their impeccable appearance.As these canvases represent the minorities the gestures are softer in the magic of daily chores.The very rich and detailed decor that surrounds these women brings us back to a dreamed reality that instills in everyone a different character. We go from a traditional inspiration that takes source in a rural setting and Chinese fairytales to the modernity of Shanghai, which reflects itself either in the current time or in its golden era, the 1930s.The exhibition will go on from the 10th of April to the 15th of May.
