Nightlife in Beijing

Release Date: 2012-12-05 Publisher: China Yellow Pages Visits:1370

In comparison to Shanghai, Beijing’s nightlife is not so active. Still, because of huge population in this metropolis, many places rock till the early morning. The non-alcoholic drink of choice is still tea but with no less than 45 branches of Starbucks in Beijing the café scene is one to be reckoned with. Oh yes, and the ubiquitous (at least in Asia) karaoke scene is alive and well.

Sanlitun area (三里屯) is considered to be the nightlife centre in Beijing. Small bars dot the neighborhood. Some of them are so small that they can accept no more than 10 customers. Opposite the Workers’ Stadium is a gaggle of bars and clubs but the southern part of Sanlitun has succumbed to the wrecking ball. Sanlitun Central seems to be dominated by shopping malls but if you look closer opposite the Great Dragon Hotel you’ll find some of the most popular bars and discos in Beijing.

If you want to search the bars, nightclubs or KTV (karaoke) near your home, try to find more information on the Internet. China Yellow Pages is a website which involves the business listings of all kinds of bars and clubs. The nightlife guide it provides give you some tips about where to play, where to hold parties and where the fascinating bars and discos are.
